BYC - 24/1/2013

BYC - Bangi Young Couples
----------------------------------------->
Morning: In a restaurant. Parent and maid enjoying breakfast. Toddler, 2 years old running in and out of the shop. Dad just calling out to toddler..."jangan lari, jangan lari..".

Waiting for accidents to happen? What if toddler knocked into the waiter serving hot drinks? What if someone kidnap toddler who ran out of the shop? What if...

Afternoon: driving to Alamanda. Stopped at traffic light. In the next car, saw mummy playing with handphone in the back seat. Seat belt unfastened. Toddler in front passenger seat. Seat belt also unfastened. Lo and behold!! Dad in driver's seat (of course lah), ALSO seat belt unfastened!

Waiting for accidents to happen and lives and limbs lost?

Scenes this morning.. 29-10

Enjoying my roti canai dipped in sambal sardine when I overheard a lady calling out, "Mak.. Mak.. Nak bungkus dua roti canai ye". Peeping from the corner of my eye, I looked up the owner of the voice. A youngish lady in a factory uniform was pulling up a chair. I smiled. First time, I hear the mamak being called "Mak". Normally they are called "Boss" or "Anney". Hehe..

-----------
Was waiting for my daughter's reply. She is in class. I was in the car, parked in front of the Post Office. She asked me to get some stamps and I need to know the correct denomination. Glanced at the car that has just occupied the parking lot next to my car. An elderly lady glared back at me. I persisted smiling at her. Nope..she's not undoing her glare. Wonder what she's angry with. Got my reply from my daughter, I got out of the car and walked into the PO. Angry looking lady in next car, still there, still glaring. Hmm.. Maybe that is her natural-look. I must remember to smile more. Wouldnt want an unsmiling look frozen on my face.

-------------
Drive back home and I stopped at the traffic light. Then I saw in the car, coming from the opposite direction, a toddler (no more than a year old) on the father's lap. Talk about irresponsibility. Even if it is a short distance to the babysitter (I presume that is where they are heading), do strap up your kid. Your excuse could be, its just nearby or I am a careful driver. But accidents can and will happen when you least expect it.

New start in next phase of my life..

Today i am inspired to start blogging again.  My kids too, have been harping, asking me to blog again.  They are afraid that with all the free time on hand, I would be driving them up the walls, with my nag.

Some had asked me to blog about food.  But that isn't something that I am overly fond of.  Instead I think I will blog about whatever interest me at that moment in time.

23-10-12

Went to my favourite haunt for breakfast.  I spied the mamak making nan in one corner of the restaurant.  Hmm..That is something unusual..  As normally nan will only come out in the evening together with the tandoori chicken.  Must be a special order.

After several days of eating fried mee/kue tiaw at the mamak, today I decided I should try their sardine-tosei.  Something I picked up after reading a novel written by Areila Sahimi.  But the mamak somehow heard me wrongly and what appeared on my table was tosei with sambal sardine.  Hmm.. I was too hungry to argue.  So I just ate what was served.

Came home and watched the ending of the repeat-drama "Tiramisu".  Then I had to be ready to  go to UiTM-Palam after picking up Khairin.  As it was, I was too early and she was still in class, so I located a shady parking place and read the sunday papers.  Then we picked up ET.

Traffic jam as usual, all the way until after the Duta toll.  Then it was smooth sailing until UiTM-Palam.  Before that we stopped for lunch at MekDee.  Had the Samurai burger and tried the Coffee-Oreo Sundae.  Love the coffee crunchies in the sundae.  But I soon felt my head throbbing.  Arghhh...

Sent the kids to the boys block (Blok Angsana) to collect their Kad Diskaun Siswa.  Really don't understand the justification of having to collect it at Palam.  Why can't they disburse it to where the kids are currently located!?

Drove back with a throbbing head.  Khairin dare not take the wheel although she have a driving licence.  Went straight home because I forgot to pack in her clean laundry on my way out this afternoon.  Send her back to college.  She promised to come home on thursday for the long weekend - Aidil Adha holidays.

Arrived home and Faiz has safely parked the Black MyVi in the porch.  Sorry, Encik Ungu.  Tonight you have to rest under the moon and the stars (and meteors, I heard).
